I enjoyed a fabulous few hours chatting with Brodie Neill while we were both in Milan for the Salone del Mobili this year. Brodie is a talented man with a great future ahead of him and it was good to talk about his work and the exhibition in April.

Salone del Mobili – Giulio Iacchetti from Alessi
In Milan at Salone del Mobile one of the most pleasurable interviews was with Giulio Iacchetti from Alessi. Although his english was good he felt more comfortable speaking Italian and although my Italian is ok I felt better to speak in English. Still we did understand each other!
Milan 2014 – Alex Kashin, Kink Studios
During Salone Internazional del Mobile in MIlan I happened upon Alex Kashin from Kink Studios who was among a group of designers working at the Valcucine showroom in Brera. Alex was one of 10 designers accepted from a field of 110 who had applied to work with Valcucine to design new concepts for a modular range of kitchen furniture. We speak about designing and the process.
Augmented Australia
The Australian Institute of Architects launched Augmented Australia as Australia's entry for the 2014 Venice Biennale. Oki Sato IS Nendo, a design company that has taken the work by storm with a proliferation of projects, objects and installations. During Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2014 I spent a day exploring Milan and in particular the Brera district. I visited showrooms and interviewed designers for Architel.tv.
