It was so good to talk with Gijs Bakker for Architel.tv when he visited Australia last year to talk at the National Gallery of Victoria. Gijs has always been a bit of a hero to me, a real maverick, and as co-founder of Droog Design (with Renny Ramakers), he revolutionised Dutch design in the late 1990s. His pragmatic view of life and design was evident as we talked and I wish the interview could have gone on for hours!
