It was a pleasure and a privilege to talk with Glenn Murcutt for Architel.tv when he was in Melbourne for the opening of The Australian Islamic Centre exhibition, Architecture of Faith at the National Gallery of Victoria. He was passionate about this project that has been some 10 years in the making and spoke with great respect about his colleague and collaborator Hakin Elivli, the journey of the project and the people in the Islamic community that he has worked with during the process. Glenn Murcutt is a man of passion and through his inimitable style he has made an indelible print on the architectural landscape within Australia and beyond.
